London / Tau Game Lodge in South Africa and London in May of 2026.
Tau is a luxury safari lodge situated in the far north of South Africa 1 mile from the Botswana border. Tau is located in malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve, so no shots are required. Madikwe is the 4th largest game reserve in the country. 27 major species of game roam this South African nature reserve, making Tau Game Lodge the ideal place for a safari, offering Big 5 game safaris and great bird-watching.

Our Journey:
We depart LAX on May 17, 2026 to London where we have 3 days and 2 nights to enjoy this amazing city while we adjust to the new time zone. Our time in London is for you to rest up and enjoy the cities museums, parks, shows and events of your choice. Next, we fly from London to Johannesburg, South Africa where our driver,
Nigel will meet us and drive us to Tau Game Lodge.
We will spend the next 5 nights in Tau’s luxury chalets. Your chalet’s patio is located just feet from Tau’s very own water hole attracting herds of elephants, zebras, lions, water buffalo, wildebeest, antelope, wild dogs, giraffes and rhinoceros to name a few of its daily visitors.
Each day starts with a sunrise game drive with one of Tau’s experienced safari guides. Returning to Tau, we are greeted with refreshing hot towels and a delicious hot breakfast. Relax in your chalet before meeting for lunch on Tau’s large viewing deck overlooking the water hole with a host of wildlife.
After lunch, we will review your photography from the mornings game drive where you will receive tips on lighting, composition, design, exposure, etc.
Between game drives you will enjoy herds of elephants, zebras, antelope, etc. from your chalets patio or you can relax and enjoy a treatment or a massage at Tau’s Spa. Make sure to visit Tau’s gift shop for unique African souvenirs to take home.
Next, we prepare for our 2nd game drive of the day. The sunset game drives provide amazing opportunities for wildlife photography. Prepare yourself for an experience like never before. The quality of light is stunning and the sunsets are breathtaking.
We return in the dark to hot towels and a delicious dinner prepared by Tau’s master chef’s and the sounds of Africa’s wildlife.
This schedule will repeat itself for our remaining days at Tau where you will make memories and take photos that you will cherish forever.
We depart Tau on May 26th at 11am when our driver, Nigel picks us up and drops us off at the airport in Johannesburg.
After we check in and go through customs it’s time to shop for African souvenirs.
We depart Johannesburg and arrive Heathrow. We stay 2 more nights in London and reflect on our unforgettable new memories of Africa. We depart our London hotel to Heathrow and fly back to Los Angeles on May 29th. After clearing customs, collecting our bags, we travel back to Laguna Woods.
